What would you do if you found $20,000 in your home? That’s right! A plumbing technician found $20,000 inside an air return duct near Manatee Florida. Grant Jefferies, who works for air and energy found the cash while working on service call at a Holmes beach residence on Oct, 20th.
Grant, who had never found anything so large of a prize was shocked to say “I thought It Was Drugs At First”. His hands were shaking even after he found the two large foil-wrapped parcels. The $20,000 had been stuffed inside an air duct, broken down into $50, $100 bills and travellers checks.
He immediately called into work and claimed the money, showing to be a very honest worker. Would you do the same? The same exact thing happened here at Drain Rescue, were an empty house in Etobicoke had a hidden treasure found by mistake. What would you do if you found $20,000 dollars in your home or neighbours home, would you give it up?
One of our technicians found $20,000 in a loss floor board of an abandoned house, previously owned by an elderly man who passes away recently. But the owners of the home in Florida stated that “they knew their was cash stashed in the house”, their relative had made a note of it in there will. Isn’t it quite strange that people still stash money in their homes?
The saying “saving cash for a rainy day” still has meaning. Seems that it is still quite common for people to hide their money at home. Do you still practice hiding or saving money at home in a stash? If you do we would love to see your comments below and have you share your stories. Of course don’t tell us where you hide your money though!
